• Hukum pertama termodinamika adalah prinsip kekekalan enersi yang memasukan kalor sebagai model perpildahan enersi. Enersi dalam (internal enersi) dapat ditingkatkan dengan menambah kalor ke benda atau melakukan usaha pada benda. Hukum pertama tidak membatasi tentang arah perpindahan kalor yang dapat terjadi.
